Another week is nearly over and here we are in the middle of Feb. Well that has flown!
So another common theme that arose this week is the idea of implementing a Circuit Breaker.
As we are already 7 weeks into the year, some of us have taken a moment to stop, step back and have a look at our progress so far.
Taking the time to reflect upon what’s working 7 weeks in and what’s not?
Take a moment and think of your journey into 2023 so far. What’s been working for you and what hasn’t been? What are you choosing to change, what could be done differently?
This is an ideal time to take some time to reflect, assess and amend before time passes further away from us.
With these areas you’re choosing to improve on – what is going to be the easiest way to do it? How can you implement the changes?
I like to call it a “Circuit breaker” when you literally break out of the old patterns and behaviours. You cut the cord of old habits , programming and mix it up by doing things differently and rewiring the neural pathways in the brain.
When you implement a circuit breaker you’re also making a contract with yourself that you are committed and really want to lift your game and take it to the next level.
It might be breaking old habits of staying up late, or sleeping in. So set your alarm for a dedicated bed time, or getting up a half earlier each day. It doesn’t matter what it is – but if you implement a circuit breaker it’s going to escalate the changes and empower you to keep going and stay committed.
