This is the first of a new blog series which looks at issues we have with weight and how it can make us feel.
A lot of my clients get frustrated with themselves because they work hard on eating well and doing regular exercise and then one thing sets them off – and they undo all their handwork PLUS they end up feeling crap about themselves.
Some of the catalysts I’ve found from my clients have been social pressures, loneliness, boredom, anxiety and tiredness – as to why they let themselves go and lose motivation to really care about what they eat, drink or do to their bodies.
Here’s my view on it – Iive by the 80/20 rule and keep it real and manageable. It’s too hard to be perfect all the time. Have some fun but keep it in balance.
Here are 3 things you can do right now to help yourself.
- Think about WHAT you do quite often – your “bad” habits
- Think about WHY you do those things – what triggers you off
- Think about how you FEEL after you’ve done it
Once you start to become aware of yourself you can start to bring in some changes.
